"You wouldn't, that's the best part," Meredith answers nonchalantly. Looking around briefly, she makes a dismayed face. "I'm starting to get the feeling it isn't, though." This is by far not a thought she really wants to entertain, let alone accept, but the evidence is stacking up way outside her comfort zone.

"Nice to meet you, too," she takes his hand, shaking it professionally. It's a stark contrast to the silly togas, but it's admittedly comforting to meet someone else who seems perfectly friendly, rather than the alternative.
