Richie moves with purpose toward the door of the building Seth indicates, reaching for the handle and pulling it open a couple inches before peering inside. With no immediate threats visible, he opens the door further, keeping it there so that Seth can usher Kate inside before following after them and letting it close behind them.

Despite his apparent ability to walk in the sun, he still breathes out heavily the moment they're shaded from it. Avoiding it has been a constant in his life for awhile by this point, and it's hard to break habits that quickly when they generally mean avoiding pain and horrible death.

He leans his back against the inside wall beside the door, thoughts continuing to whizz through his head as he turns his gaze toward his brother, any sense of anger or fight having entirely left him by this point.

If anything, he's looking for some kind of direction as hypocritical as that might seem. He's completely out of his depth here.
