Richie had the luxury of not knowing what prison life was like. His older brother had seen more naked men than any straight guy needed to in a lifetime in the course of five years. There was a reason why Seth rarely stayed shirtless unless fresh out of a shower and the showers he took were quick.

The thought swiftly killed whatever jokes had been in his mind. What happened in prison would stay in prison as far as Seth was concerned. He swallowed thickly, internally trying to shake the memories that threatened to surface by the simple statement innocently made while tension never dropped from his shoulders.

Kate finished pulling him out of the bleak walk down memory lane. She thanked both of them? He glanced at Richie before bringing his gaze back to Kate. In his mind, he interpreted what his brother had done as part of their bond but could see how the preacher's daughter would voice appreciation for the overall gesture.

Then again, a second longer of thought prompted Seth to think that he really hadn't done anything at all. It was all Richie this round. Not that the elder Gecko wouldn't have reacted if something further kicked off but nothing took place worthy of thanks. He physically shook his head this time, ridding what ran rampant in his head. "It's nothin'."

Maybe he shouldn't have spoken for Richie. Seth wanted to move on from the moment the way Kate and his brother wanted to move from being exposed to naked men. It wasn't out of the ordinary for him to speak for the both of them, yet it was also something Richie recently made clear that he detested. Hopefully another argument could get benched until they were out of sight.

Seth silently led the way to the next building, putting a hand out to stop Kate and let Richie pass them in entering first. "You first, Hero."
