Finally that was something she wouldn’t argue with them about, Kate in no hurry to rush ahead or get separated and so she took what looked like a phone from Seth and fell into step at his heels, the shadow cast by his body at least enough to keep the glare out of her eyes. The hot sun licked at her bare shoulders, felt too hot against the top of her head and she couldn’t help but shoot a furtive glance over her shoulder, half expecting to see the smoke rising up from Richie’s skin like it had with Rafa.

There was nothing, though. Not even a wisp of it and Kate’s footsteps faltered as she found herself staring at him, almost running into Seth in the process. “Are you alright?” But she sounded more confused than concerned. Kate hardly considered herself an expert when it came to Culebra physiology but she’d seen what even minimal exposure could do. The sun was high in the sky and it wasn’t like they had an abundance of shadows to stick to.

With her sheet tucked in place, like a towel, Kate’s free hand reached out to touch Seth’s back, trying both to draw his attention back to Richie and keep herself from steering off course.
