Test Drive #2

Now I’m certain that you all have many questions, so perhaps you’ll permit me to explain. I, Eros, Son of Ares and Aphrodite, God of Love and Sexual Desire, have brought you to Pathema for a very simple purpose. I offer you sanctuary from the trials and tribulations of your all too dreary existences and in return, I ask only one thing of you. Your devotion. I have seen how reluctant you creatures can be when it comes to matters of the flesh, and so I have ensured that all of you shall have the proper encouragement. Surely you must be aware by now that each of you have been fitted with a collar. I wouldn’t try and remove them if I were you. Your petty magics, or force, will do little more than cause them to tighten I’m afraid. Over a period of fourteen days, your collars will tighten. I’m told it’s a terribly uncomfortable experience and I wouldn’t suggest you push your limits but you mortals are rather a stubborn lot. Still, never let it be said that I didn’t try to warn you. Now if at the end of those fourteen days, you have still refused to show your devotion to your God? You will simply cease to exist. Oh, come now. I am not a cruel and capricious God. You’ll be permitted to return to your previous state of existence, for the mere price of something that you hold dear. A memory of those trivial times from before you were brought to your new home Ah, yes. I do believe I have your attention now, don’t I? But of course, how can you, mere peasants, show your God how much you adore him? I should think the answer is very simple, don’t you? I am the God of Sexual Desire after all. |

SPRING FESTIVAL: Flowers are in bloom, birds are singing their love songs, and the residents of Pathéma are celebrating the arrival of Spring! Stalls of flowers can be found in the market place, fresh pressed juices and berries are sold and everyone feels more friendly than usual.
At night, bondfires are lit on the beach, and tables of food from your world are displayed alongside food from foreign places. Music is played all night long, and dancers pull strangers to join them, while the fire breathers put on a show for all to see. At midnight, fireworks light up the night skies before the party rages on until the sun comes up.
Blankets are available all over the beach, some giving more privacy than others...
NETWORK: Everyone is provided with a communication device that gives them access to an island-wide network. These can be used for so many things! Send pictures of the drunk guy at the bar, your boobs or whatever you want!!
WILDCARD: There are forests, mountains, marketplaces, all sorts of places to go and explore on the island. Ideas for settings can be found on the locations pages!
**TDM threads can be used as your sample in your application! It can also be considered in game canon if it is agreed on by all characters involved in said threads.

She stopped walking and looked at him suddenly. "Are we dead? Am I dead?" She asked. She couldn't help wondering. The last thing that happened before this was her collapsing and throwing up blood because of the radiation. The night blood hadn't saved her. Or had it?
"This seems like a pretty strange...heaven?" If Clarke even believed in that in the more traditional sense. She guessed she liked to believe that Finn, her father, Wells, and all the others they'd lost were in a better place. Maybe she was skeptical, but she didn't think this was it.

"Not even close. It's called Pathema. Just your typical island paradise that forces you to have sex or die." Didn't these new people get gift baskets or a welcome-to-the-island pamphlet or something? Victor hadn't noticed when he arrived since he already knew what was expected.
no subject
"So all that is true then?" Clarke asked, staring at him in disbelief. She wasn't all that bothered, though. She'd done worse things for survival, at least maybe this time no one else would have to die for it.
"Can I at least get some different clothes somewhere?"
no subject
"You have a house somewhere," Victor said. "Clothes that you wore in your home world will be there."
no subject
"They just give you a house? For free?" Maybe she was being skeptical, but that didn't seem right to her. Of course, none of this seemed right to begin with. Everything was so lush and bright and it was nothing like the world Clarke had left behind.
"Where are we? Is this Earth?"
no subject
"I'm guessing Eros was smart enough to know most of us won't have sex out in the open," he mused. "So we got a roof over our heads and a bed." If he remembered right, Clarke wouldn't mind the lack of refrigeration or indoor plumbing. "I don't think it's Earth, but you can't exactly go off the island to check, so who knows?"
no subject
"And everyone is just, okay with it?" She asked. She knew she had a lot of questions but who wouldn't in this situation? Sex was whatever to Clarke, she wasn't a prude or anything. But she didn't imagine everyone here could possibly be the same way. At least it wasn't a giant orgy. Or, she hoped not but kept that to herself for now.
"How do I find out where my house is?"
no subject
"Not everyone," he corrected, "but what are we going to do? Choke to death and then come back without a treasured memory? No, better to just go along with the sex part and rebel in other ways."
"The houses are all down that way." Victor pointed, giving her more detailed instructions on how to get there and learn which one she was so "generously" given. He also added in directions to the hospital. It went without saying why he would include that.
no subject
"Thanks." She said when he told her where the houses were, she wanted to get into something other than this toga. She wanted to find out more about this place too. Hopefully, she'd have plenty of time to explore before she had to hook up with someone.
But when he told her where the hospital was, she stopped to look at him again. "How did you know I'd want to know that?"
no subject
"It's where we keep the contraceptives," Victor answered with a shrug. Most people wanted to know that once they heard that regular sex was expected in this place. And he could tell she wasn't ready to be told he knew her from before and her interest in medicine.
no subject
She wasn't even sure how someone could be in the mood for hooking up if it was basically forced. Even flirting took a little work. He had said they could choose the who, though.
"Right." Clarke nodded. Without them, half the island would probably be pregnant.
no subject
"You could get lucky, though, and find someone you really like," he added. "Then it gets a lot easier."
no subject
She adjusted her toga a bit more, she couldn't wait to get out of it. But she still had so many questions about all of this. "And you? Did it get easier for you?"
no subject
In answer to her question, Victor tapped the ring on his left hand. It was a simple silver ring twisted into the infinity symbol. "I'd say it got pretty easy, yeah."
no subject
The ring reminded her of Lexa's tattoo, and that brought up emotions she just couldn't deal with right now. So she took a breath and pushed those feelings down. "How did you get that?" Was there sex judged like some kind of competition?
no subject
"My wife gave it to me." It was still strange and thrilling, referring to Meg as his wife. "We met on the island. So... you can find happiness, strange as it seems."
no subject
"I'm gonna try and find my house and change." She said. "Thanks for your help." This was still so strange to her, but maybe in time she'd adjust. What choice did she really have?
